All this stuff finally seems to make some sense.
Took long enough….
New story tomorrow! Stinz is blooded in combat. Well, confused in combat.

Playing with the layout a bit, here.
He’s a good sergeant. He’s going to support his officer.
Stinz is just one of those mouthy troops who have to have reasons for stuff. Real officer material: head-heavy.
Is it any comfort she was old and went fast? And that her death in the upcoming war would be bad?
Not really, huh?
This is the worst thing I ever drew — and I didn’t draw it.
Hitchcock knew that the worst images are brought up by mere hints. No way could I make this as horrible as my readers’ minds will.
I know this is horrible, but it was incredibly fun to draw. The action and stuff.
You do know artists at concentration camps were given the job of drawing the – um – heaps – and were found squatting by the ghastly piles, intent on the drawings, eyes gleaming? “OOOOH! Anatomy! Dead stuff!”
We are little aliens with pencils….and no sense of propriety or rules….
It’s been said I don’t pull my punches.
Too many people using violence or war in a drawn book use it for entertainment. I’m flat-out using it because it sickens me.
I hate this story, too.
This is where Stinz really learns to obey orders.
Well, would you shoot your own horse?
National Guard in New Orleans after Katrina found out how far people would go to protect their animals.
Poor Stinz!
Not much I can say about this that hasn’t been said in the panels.
I’ve noticed the Coen Brothers don’t do commentaries on their movies, either; if it’s not in the movie, what’s the use of pointing it out?
It’s why I end up commenting on current events and stuff in these blog posts.
