   I’ve seen our colts do exactly this – “it feels good to stomp something to smithereens”.
   One gelding has kind of created his own drum set using various locations and pieces of equipment around the barn.
   on the human side, this is about the age my husband and his brothers discovered black powder….

   jih: You need to post film of that on youtube; we’d all like to see the rock star. I’ve seen a horse trying to step on Canada geese in his paddock, while they waddled out of his way, indignantly honking and flapping. But fly away from all the grain on the ground? We think not.

   Black powder — I have a friend who as a kid made black powder in a blender and stored it in margarine tubs. Dan can tell you he saw his crew chief and pilot emerging from an abandoned magazine with arms full of munitions they could take hammers to.

   I may have to work on that, I’d have to give him back the old bathtub we were using for water.
